Pending does not always mean failed
First confirm that the source transaction exists on the correct network and has been accepted into a block. Different networks and current congestion levels can produce different confirmation timelines.
After source confirmation, a cross-chain route may still need to execute and create the destination transaction. Use the route tracker instead of sending a duplicate deposit.
When a swap fails
Common categories include a route becoming unavailable, a quote expiring, an incorrect asset or network, a mismatched amount, or a deposit that could not be associated with the active transaction.
A useful error state should preserve a safe reference and explain the next action. Do not troubleshoot by sharing private keys, recovery phrases, or screenshots containing them.
How refunds work
The refund address is the source-network address selected before deposit. A refund is a new blockchain transaction and can therefore require source-network processing and confirmation.
Refund eligibility and timing depend on the route state and the information provided. Never assume a refund is complete until its transaction is visible and confirmed on the appropriate network.
- Do not send a second deposit while the first one is unresolved.
- Verify status using the source network and the transaction tracker.
- Contact support through the official TorrentSwap contact page with public references only.
