What ETH to BTC actually does
This route exchanges native ETH on Ethereum for native BTC on Bitcoin. The destination is a Bitcoin-network address; nothing is delivered as WBTC on Ethereum.
Because the ETH deposit is accepted within a couple of minutes, this direction is usually quicker than BTC to ETH. The BTC payout is broadcast as soon as the swap settles and then needs a Bitcoin block — around ten minutes — before most wallets show it as confirmed.

The receiving address
The destination must be a Bitcoin mainnet address you control (bc1q…, bc1p…, 1… or 3…). Lightning invoices and Liquid addresses are not supported.
The refund address
The refund address must be an Ethereum address that can receive native ETH. Recovery of a wrong-asset or wrong-network deposit is not guaranteed.
Support will never ask for a seed phrase or private key. TorrentSwap only ever needs public addresses.

Will I receive WBTC?
No. You receive native BTC on the Bitcoin network. If you want to stay on Ethereum with wrapped bitcoin, that is a same-network swap, not this route.
Can I pay from MetaMask or another wallet?
Yes. Copy the deposit address into any Ethereum wallet, or connect a wallet on the swap screen and approve the exact transfer. TorrentSwap reads only your public address and never gets permission to move anything else.
How long does ETH to BTC take?
