What BTC to ETH actually does
This route starts with native BTC on the Bitcoin network and delivers native ETH on Ethereum mainnet. Nothing is wrapped along the way: you do not receive WBTC, and the ETH is not on Arbitrum, Base or another layer-2.
It is the most common way to move from Bitcoin into the Ethereum ecosystem — to pay for gas, use an application, or rebalance — without parking coins on a centralised exchange. Most of the waiting is Bitcoin confirmations. Once the deposit is accepted, the ETH payout usually lands within a minute or two.

The receiving address
Use an Ethereum address you control and make sure the receiving wallet shows Ethereum mainnet. The same 0x address exists on several EVM networks, so the network label decides where the ETH appears.
The refund address
The refund address must be a Bitcoin address you control. If you are sending from an exchange, do not use the exchange's withdrawal address as the refund address — use one from your own wallet.
Support will never ask for a seed phrase or private key. TorrentSwap only ever needs public addresses.

Do I get WBTC or real ETH?
Real ETH on Ethereum mainnet. This route sells your BTC for ETH; it does not wrap it. If you want bitcoin exposure on Ethereum instead, the BTC to WBTC route delivers wrapped bitcoin.
Can I receive the ETH on Arbitrum or Base instead?
Yes, but that is a separate route with a different destination asset. Choose ETH on Arbitrum or ETH on Base in the selector. Your 0x address is usually the same on those networks, so the network you pick is what decides where the ETH lands.
Can I send the BTC straight from an exchange?
Yes. The deposit address is an ordinary Bitcoin address. Some exchanges deduct their withdrawal fee from the amount you enter, so check that the amount that actually arrives matches the quote; a short deposit can be refunded instead of swapped.
How long does BTC to ETH take?
