This route starts with native BTC and delivers the ERC-20 version of USDT on Ethereum (contract 0xdAC1…1ec7). USDT exists on many networks, so the ticker alone never identifies the token you receive.

The refund address
The refund address must be a Bitcoin address you control. Refunds return BTC to that address; they are never paid in USDT.
