What to know before bridging to Base
The canonical Base bridge is fast into Base but, like other optimistic rollups, withdrawals back to Ethereum take about seven days. Swapping through a liquidity route avoids that delay in both directions.
cbBTC on Base is Coinbase's wrapped bitcoin. It is backed by BTC held by Coinbase, so it is not the same as native BTC even when the price matches.
